Artist Statement
​
My Current arts practice focuses on using my emotions and lived experiences in my art as well as experimenting with different mediums, styles, and techniques of visual arts. A lot of my art practice is focused on bringing my ideas for interesting characters, settings, and stories to life, which stems from my love of fantasy and storytelling.
I have a particular interest in Illustration and character design both in traditional and digital mediums.
I intend to begin expanding into focusing my art on more political/social issues topics as a form of activism for topics I am passionate about (the rights of disabled people, feminist issues, climate change, etc) without losing my connection to the roots of my art practice, that being that art is an emotional outlet for me.

My motivation stems from my love and passion for creating art and I'm am driven by my dream to one day be able to turn that passion into a liveable and rewarding career.

My Plan
2024
n one year from now i would expect to be just over halfway through completing my Bachelor of Creative Industries (Visual Arts). I would also like to have begun work on a comic I have written in between my work and studies.

2025
Two years from now I presume will have completed or be close to completing my Bachelor of Creative Industries. I would ideally like to be starting or in the planning stages of starting my own small business as a way to help me get my work out there as well as to help me fund my arts practice

2026
Three years from now I hope to be bringing in enough money from my work and small business to be able to sustain myself and my arts practice. Although I want to further my education, I plan on taking a break from my studies to focus on my business, other possible ventures and maybe some travel.

2027
In four years from now I plan to be studying again most likely in visual arts but also possibly branching off into other interests that I feel could be relevant to me and knowledge and learning that I could incorporate into my life and art.

2028
In five years, I hope to be well on my way to creating a rewarding and fulfilling career out of my art. I hope to be bringing in a steady income from the combination of my small bussiness and job that fits my skillset within the creative industry.
